PLEASE NOTE THE NEW DATE OF JULY 26 - MOVED FROM MAY 22

Understanding fair housing laws is important to any property owner, manager or industry professional that wants to make sure they are in compliance. The Illinois Human Rights Act protects people from discrimination when they are renting, buying, or securing financing for any housing or commercial property in Illinois. Discrimination can happen on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability and the presence of children - amongst other things.

Join us for an introduction to fair housing laws and find out more about steps you can take to ensure equal access in housing for all residents.

You will be issued a certification of attendance upon completion of the course.

Training is provided by Abdi Maya, State of Illinois Department of Human Rights.

This location has a maximimum number of attendees at 35.

Only coffee and soda will be served.

Special Note:
Folks can park on the street for a nominal fee, but they may have to search for 2-hour parking.
  • Parking is free in the parking deck next to our building (309 N Main St), but only on the basement level accessible from the entrance on Wyman St. (address is roughly 308-330 N Wyman St) If people enter on the parking deck from Main St, they will have to stop at a barrier, pull a ticket and pay for parking. The basement level does not require you to stop or pull a ticket.
